The Hideout

Nice, private, comfortable & easily accessible. Positive: A cozy & secluded private garden level 1-bdrm. Full kitchen & king size bed; also a nice smaller living-rm area. The keurig is a splendid touch as is the youtube tv for both screens. The towels are worthwhile, as are the additional blankets/throws. Negative: The bath/shower is small & dark; and there is a subtle unpleasant odor emanating from the shower/bath drain, not sure if that is fixable, but it's most noticeable when using the shower. Killed a few bugs while there, but in the heat of the summer that wasn't surprising. The water pressure for the kitchen sink was very low, ended up using the bathroom sink whenever possible for filling or rinsing. The loveseat & chair were adequate, but also could be improved upon.

Overall decent value for money, owner is very communicative and engaged, with a little more attention to detail and mayb Positive: Good communication from owner, decent location, good instructions on how to get to property, bed and sheets seemed new and comfortable Negative: Not the cleanest, some dust/dead bugs around as well as inner shower curtain was dirty. Everything seemed damp and in the morning noticed water dripping from ceiling onto TV mantle, so maybe water issue. Loud footsteps/thumping all night (from 1am on a weeknight) and woke up at 8 to more thumping as well as loud arguing from the couple upstairs. Understandable as a basement room but still excessive

Positive: A great place for a single person or couple. Complete with a fridge, stove, microwave, coffee maker, and more.
